Default Diana Smardon | Victoria | Council

She is 59 and running for election to the city of Victoria council for the fourth time. In 2005 she ran for mayor and came fourth with 246 votes. In 1999 she placed 18th for council.

She seems to be an artist and environmental activist.

I just received a robocall from Diana Smardon, asking me to vote for her. When I checked the number, it came back as (234) 567-8900, a standard number used for automatic telemarketing calls.

Anyone know how much such a service costs, or how to recruit it? Ms Smardon clearly knows more than I do about the art of modern politicking ....

I just got one too. Pretty slick for someone I assumed was a fringe candidate.

as little as 2 cents per call, on targeted lists through mobi-call - some of these can be set up on-line with off-shore companies just using a credit card.

A client I do US marketing for has used this company for automated calls - Robo Talker.
