  1. LAND MANAGEMENT: How we develop our land. Protecting our mountains, lakes, streams, and habitat.
  2. WASTE & MATERIALS: What we do with our garbage and our sewage. The kinds of materials we use for buildings, for example, like wood, steel or concrete.
  3. WATER: Clean drinking water. How we collect and use our rainwater. Keeping our streams healthy.
  4. ENERTY & AIR: Healthy buildings that have good indoor air and conserve energy. Transportation choices that produce low emissions. Availability of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power.
  5. HOUSING: Affordable housing for youth. Different kinds of housing types to choose from such as apartments, duplexes, townhouses etc.
  6. MOBILITY & ACCESSIBILITY: Choices for youth to get around, and in safe ways. Accessibility for people with mobility difficulties.
  7. EDUCATION & LEARNING: Availability of places to go to learn. Availability of good colleges and universities that is affordable.
  8. HEALTH & WELL-BEING: Services to help us stay healthy. Access to places for youth to play and do sports.
  9. SENSE OF COMMUNITY: Feeling like you belong and knowing people around you. How the City includes different people. Celebrating our heritage, arts and culture.
  10. FOOD SECURITY: Availability of food being grown on Southern Vancouver Island.
  11. GOVERNANCE: How the local government is making decisions. Youth involvement in the political process in Victoria.
  12. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Jobs for youth. Different kinds of job for youth in tourism and business.
  13. FINANCE: How the City manages its finances and makes money.
  14. SECURITY: Safety for youth. Availability of food, materials and energy daily, and in emergency situations.
  15. ADAPTIVE CAPACITY: How we prepare for emergencies and respond.
