Default Killer Dinner Theater

Victoria has a new dinner theatre launching this Saturday, June 26, 2010. The dinner theatre, presented by Black Box productions, will be Victoria's only dinner theatre product. Read below for more information....

Victoria's Killer Dinner Theatre

Presents

“Murder on the Oriental Rug!”

Move over -- or roll over-- Agatha Christie! Victoria's Killer Dinner Theatre is about to unveil a mystery dinner show that spoofs old-fashioned whodunits, the medical profession, “female problems,” and theater folks! When half the cast of “Murder on the Oriental Rug” bails out, the remaining performers are stuck playing all the roles. During the first act, you’ll meet a Shakespearean actor with a drinking problem, a washed-up former child star, a bimbo with a short memory, and a hapless costumer who finds herself onstage -- playing a man.

During the “play within a play,” you’ll visit the exclusive clinic of Dr. Charles Ovary, renowned hot flash specialist who’s secretly treating a famous actress trying desperately to regain her youth. You’ll get to know the doctor’s devoted but clueless wife, his passionate female protégé, the actresses’ hunky husband, a flighty French maid, a shifty handyman, and an inspector investigating the dead body on the Oriental rug.

Will the play make it to Broadway? Will the performers remember their lines? Will the Shakespearean actor fit into the maid’s costume? Will the chalk outline come out of the rug? Will the inspector solve the murder? Will another murder occur?

Before the evening’s over, someone else will be ruthlessly murdered, and it’s up to the audience to solve the crime.

Victoria's Killer Dinner Theatre is presented at the Travelodge Victoria, 229 Gorge Road East.

Tickets are $39.99 and includes a 3 course dinner plus the show. (drinks excluded)

The show opens Saturday June 26, and runs Fridays & Saturdays throughout the summer beginning at 6:30pm.

Reservations can be made by calling 250-361-6246.

I like the idea, I love dinner theatre when it's done well. But some kids these days just don't get it. I wonder how it can be made to sound cool(er).

I prefer Monster Chiller Horror Theatre to dinner theatre - especially when they're playing a Dr. Tongue 3D Marathon for the kiddies. Ahwrooooooooooooooooooo *cough* *cough*

EDIT: I meant to say, I prefer when they mix dinner theatre and Monster Chiller Horror Theatre, aka Dr. Tongue's 3d House of Beef.
