Ya, that's what I was thinking too. Wasn't sure if that field is an ecologically sensitive area. Any set-up with sloping upward land that looks down on the stage is good. Bonus is a stage that can set up on asphalt (Dallas Rd., closed to traffic).

This is The Gorge in WA State:

If it isn't now the "friends" of Beacon Hill Park would ensure that it was if anyone seriously suggested holding any sort of concert on that hillside. After all, parks are to be admired from a distance, not used. I am pretty sure the "friends" would prefer if the only way BHP was ever visited was via the arial picture posted here.

It's a "legend" (one person, male) and it's a return here. The person is older. So I'm saying Leonard Cohen (who is in Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle and Portland in November) or BB King. Details at 7:15am.

^Mock him if you must but while you're yukking it up on the Internet, Bennett is drawing nude pictures of Lady Gaga. That swingin' cat!

I wasn't mocking; just remarking that Mr. Bennett has been performing since God was a boy.

I have unconfirmed rumours that Tinto Rocks might be touring this summer. I'm not sure if SOFMC is an ideal venue size for them or not.

^Saw them in '85 at the Commodore opening for Parachute Club and Streetheart. Good times.

I thought they had a pretty strict touring restriction in their agent contract.

Default Henry Rollins Jun 1

Not exactly a Rock Concert, but if you have not seen a Henry Rollins spoken word show, you may want to check him out on Jun 1 at the Alix Goolden Hall. I have seen him here in Victoria twice now and both shows have been fantastic! There aren't many performers that will engage an audience for 3+ hours without an intermission!!

Well worth the admission if any tickets left!! Anybody else from the VV community going to be attending as well? If so, I'll see you there, and I would love to put a face or two to some of the names I have been connecting with on VV, so don't be afraid to say hello!

Carl

The David Foster gala concert looks to be getting close to a sell-out, they just released previously held tickets that might have had obscured views, so that means they are filling the place best they can.

When the Foster concert was to be held at the OBBH, weren't the tickets in the $1,000 range?

OK so the venue has changed and the ticket price dropped $875.

Good for the concert going public.

There are two separate events. $125 for the masses at SOFMC on Saturday, $1000 for the elite at the Empress on Friday.
