If you guys are comparing an unfinished (or even finished) building to concept art then you're of course going to be disappointed.

I'm confused. This particular project is looking no better or worse than the images shown back on page 3 of this thread. How are the illustrations different from the reality?

I really like this one right now. As for real pictures vs. design mock-up - even the historic building to the south looks better in the mock-up than the current photos.

As for Fountain Tire - here's to hoping that it is the next to go.

North face scaffolding should be gone by the end of the day.

Part of what gives this building it's look is the textured brick that was used. I'll get a photo and post soon.

The signage at the top of the corner of the building is now in place.

The glazing above the entrance looks to be done as well. I find it odd the way it was done, not symmetrical.

I wonder how many of the new owners are unaware that it is wood-frame construction.

A lot of my clients seem to think it is concrete based on exterior visuals.

My experience tells me that most people would have figured that out.

601 Herald, I purchased one of these units, completion letters have gone out, closing is just around the corner, eager to hear views from others that have bought already and share my own thoughts.

When do you get to move in? I've seen all of their show suites - really like the 2 bedroom on the corner.

Default closing on 601 Herald

Closing is now next week, we where scheduled to take possession sooner but they (developer) had some.... unforeseen hick up. Still the excitement builds. I understand the development is 60% sold, it will be interesting to see the mix of owners, full time residents, 2nd homes, rentals. Have you heard of a group on line, I know many of the condos have Google groups or face book pages? When we where thinking of buying I looked for the chatter about it on line from other potential buyers and interested party but didn't find much, other than this site.

I had a look though that corner unit as well, great position, lots of light.

The suites don't look too bad, few things I would have done differently. I wonder what the construction quality is like?
