Ugh, that was so my experience there. I've never been to a BBQ place and had tough beef brisket. Shockingly bad, if you ask me. The front-of-house staff are also extremely unprofessional.

Yes I noticed a lone workman hammering together some sort of overhang-thingy near a construction trailer on the north side of the great hole today. At this pace Hudson Mews should be finished sometime around 2250.

So public market it is. Well if there are food kiosks I know I will be there. Not sure how it will hold up in the winter the one on View Street was so quiet but that was the early 1990's.

Interesting. I think this will work provided the cost to setup shop there isn't a huge burden. It will be nice to be out of the rain and cold in the fall and winter (...and summer) months

It'll be cheap for vendors ($30/sf./yr.), but they are only accepting vendors of locally produced products.

I'm not sure that'll be much of a draw. And at 7 days/week, now vendors will have to employ someone, rather than themselves and family members selling. I dunno.

^Why would Townline rent it out so cheap? Couldn't they make a lot more with other tenents or couldn't they find anyone else for it.

I wish them luck but I think it will be pretty dead in the winter, and Market Square feels like such a natural place for this, especially being next to Green Cuisine, Solstice Cafe, the Bead Shop etc. I don't know how into this the Smoke'n'bones crowd is going to be.

$30/sf is about right including triple net given the location and the size of the space. I am just not sure how a group like this is going to be able to afford the $45,000 monthly rent plus tenant improvement cost of 500k-$1 mil depending on what they want to do. These are simple vendors with folding tables that I doubt could some up with $2000
