I just noticed Ledcor has an office here in Victoria. I am wondering if they have some heavy irons in the fire as they are known for completing mega projects throughout Canada. I was in Vancouver last week and saw there signs everywhere, the 61 storey Living Shangri-La, the 37 storey Harbour Green Two, too many jobs to list at UBC, etc. It looks like Farmer, Campbell and the boys are going to have some serious competition when a company with $2 Billion annual revenue comes to town. Does any one know what jobs they might have or chasing? It would be great to see some mega projects come to Victoria for a change. |

I understand Westbank (Living Shangri-La, The Falls) uses their own construction gang.

I don't think Farmer and Campbell will be concerned, PCL has been doing projects in Victoria off and on for years and I don't think it's had any effect on Farmer and Campbell. If the economy tanks out here PCL and Ledcor will keep offices in Vancouver and business, but Victoria will be left for the local contractors.
