This place is at 1813 Douglas Street (formerly Ribs 'n Bones) just off of Caledonia. Really great, authentic Middle Eastern food. They have plenty of vegetarian options (wraps, hummus, dolmades, babaghanoush) and lunch is around $10 for an entree. Fresh, healthy food - a great new place for lunch.

An Iraqi family has opened a new restaurant in the former Isabella Ribs location at 1813 Douglas Street, just south of the old Hudson's Bay building. Al-Sultan Restaurant serves Mediterranean and Arabian Food with dishes spanning several cultures, including Turkish, Greek, Iraqi and Lebanese. The menu features lamb tashreeb, shish taouk rice, different kinds of wraps and skewered specialties from the grill. There are also 10 vegetarian dishes on the menu as well as soups and salads. Al-Sultan offers take-out and catering services. It's open weekdays, except Tuesdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 1 to 9 p.m. Call 250-590-4044.

Went for lunch today and had a great meal. Huge portions and very friendly staff. I had the lunch special but will need to go back and try the kebab or something else to get an idea of their regular dishes too.
