Default Sliders | Victoria | Cedar Hill Road @ Lang Street | Closed in 2012

Used to be the original La Collina bakery on Cedar Hill Road at Lang St. Then some young guys bought it and turned it into Fresh, a bistro type place that ran weird hours and never really seemed to find its way? Was it a pub, backery restaurant? Now the "Fresh" signs are down and the board says "Sliders open 8 till late"?? Also posts "Jugs 9.99!"(thats almost worth a visit in itself)
Anyone know anything about this, is it the Fresh owners trying a new thing or did they go under and is it someone new? The neighbourhood needs more quality places hopefully this will fill the void?

"Jugs - $9.99" equals "quality" to you?

Sounds more like quantity.

Just stating the facts, preceive them as you may?

It was the Cedar Hill Bakery next to a shoe repair, next to a hairdressers for many years.

Slider = small sandwich or burger

the ad I saw claimed the $9.99 jugs were craft beer. I'll check it out once I get back to Victoria this week.

Lighthouse brew a house lager for them, which is probably the $9.99 jug.

^That's good. Usually, generic draft is Granville Island Lager I've noticed.

I stuck my head in today and they look like they are up and running. Their $9.99 Jugs are their house "Sliders Lager". I think it might be by Phillips because Jugs of Phillips Blue Buck, IPA, and Slipstream are availlable for $11.99.

They are ran by the same owners as Fresh (previously at that location) but were lookng for a new direction. Seems like a sports pub style restaurant open 8am till midnight daily. Typical pub fare and "Smokin Joe's BBQ Sliders and Pizza" (Their words).
Breakfast availlable daily till 3 and advertising 10 types of benny's and 10 types of omletes?

Overall looks like the old "Fresh" with a makeover but still seems like they are trying to do too much and not knowing what they want to be. I will keep my fingers crossed that it is good and hopefully try it sometime this week.

Took in the Canuck game and a few $9.99 jugs. Place was packed for a Wednesday night.

I stopped in for breakfast. A little pricey (although lunch looked reasonable), but really awesome eggs benny, friendly service, and the lunch menu selection looked good. I like the big booths, too.

I'll definitely be back for burgers and beer! Their burger selection included turkey, lamb, and salmon burgers and for a non-picky beer-drinker, $9.99 sounds like a deal to me.

Walked by with the kids the other day and saw they now sell soft serve ice cream? It was great and reasonably priced but a weird addition to a pub/restaurant/bakery/cheap beer kind of place?

Now I see a big "For Lease" sign has been put up? I guess the bakery/restaurant/pub/ice cream/coffee shop thing isn't working? You must need more than cheap beer to run a successful operation in this town.

Fresh off The Facebook: Sliders has thrown in the towel and is giving way to the freshly displaced Cabin 12, which should be opening up in that space within about two weeks.
