Quite a change from the old days when the most popular furniture store in Langford was Cinderblock & Plank.

I remember that style from the old Better Crates & Cartons magazines.

I was raised in Langford.
I still have my Langford Dinner Jacket and Hat
Just took a photo of It.

This was required dress code for Places like Mr Mikes, Tommy Tuckers, Glen Lake Inn, but especially for the Pub at the Westwind.
If you didn't have it on you definitely weren't from Langford and you would get looked at funny .

Each time I see one of these original Langford dinner Jackets in Value Village I buy it. When I get enough I am planning on having langford Retro Party at the Log House or Ma Millers

Dress code will be the Jacket in either of the 3 colours they came in, a Stanfield Wool Sweater, a hat (the dirtier the better) and work boots.
Lucky Beer will be the only beer available. If you don't have a jacket I will be giving them out.

Sniff! I think I just cried a bit right there. Ah, good times!

I miss my old Langford.

We're not letting go just yet. We still have more jacked up 4 x 4's, Dale Earnhardt #3 decals, sweat pants, big hair and pit bulls per capita then any other municipality. Jeff Foxworthy should drop by for some new material.
