Built Building [Langford] The Granderson condos | 4-storeys | Completed in 2011

The Granderson looks like quite an attractive project located just east of Veterans Memorial Parkway at 662 Goldstream Ave.

Groundfloor retail is planned for the portion of the project fronting Goldstream.

Somehow Langford really knows how to do four floor apartment buildings right in terms of minimal setbacks and including street-front retail. Victoria could learn something here.

Wow, another 4 story walk up. Louie Lindholm and Bob Wright were masters of these in the 60's and 70's.

Considering JDM will be the builder, of Reflections fame, I wouldn't be expecting much from this. Construction is supposed to begin this month.

I quite like Reflections now that is is completed and I really think Langford's downtown area is shaping up nicely (kitschy in some ways, of course, but it's a world of difference from the Langford of 1995).

I was refering to the quality of Reflections, not the look of the finished product.

Granderson manages to do to the groundfloor what Victoria projects have so much trouble with. If only more projects heading for downtown took away design elements from projects in Langford our streetscapes wouldn't suffer at the hands of some new projects.

Welcome to the forum, btw, carjas!
