Here is a view of the project from Cedar Hill Road:

And from Shellbourne:

You can see some of where the geothermal pipes are.

Is there a thread anywhere on the townhomes being put in on Cedar Hill Road / Shelbourne (property fronts both), I believe about six homes were demolished for it, then they had GeoThermal in to do whatever prep they do for that, and now they are quite far along in the actual building of the townhomes. Any info or web site or ...? It is just north of the light at Shelbourne and Blair.

The townhouse exteriors are mostly done. They have the stained wood that is popular these days:

Any idea how many units are going in there? I like seeing these 'higher density' (relative to what is currently there) developments going in along major transit routes.

So this is Cedar Hill Rd. (ie. not "X" Rd.) - at Shelbourne, adjacent to Mt. Doug Park?

No, this is just south of Feltham.

Know it all.

^It's immediately north of the Canadian Tire outlet in the University Heights mall. There is one house left between this new development and the Canadian Tire. It is being used as the site office and I think it's coming down soon.

A picture is worth a thousand words:

Canadian Tire / Boston Pizza / Tim Hortons is at the south end of the photo, the development replaces the houses north of that.

I think that's a fairly sleek looking set of townhouses.

Really? Replaces all the homes on Glencraig? Huh, they are not that old (late 60's or early 70's). Or are they north of that cul de sac (where those homes are more like 40's and 50's)?

I'm going to say north of the cul-de-sac if memory serves correct.

I don't think Glencraig homes are going, so it would be north of that.

Oh look, Google satellite images are recent enough to show the new buildings:
http://maps.google.c...&gl=ca&t=h&z=18

So it looks like this development replaces:

4009 Cedar Hill
4000, 4008, 4016 Shelbourne

I wonder if that strip of park shown on the map will be extended through to Shelbourne

So are these rentals or will they be for sale eventually? This developement had me confused as there was no pre-sale information at the site or in he media.
What are they going to do with the Shelbourne facing part of the property?

The geothermal heating system takes up a lot of space on the Shelbourne side. It's not too clear in the picture, but they excavated down to bedrock and drilled many holes. I don't know if they can build anything on top of it.

I was thinking it did not look right for a geothermal system. I agree it does look like blasting prep.

I assumed they were going to blast that as well otherwise there's no point in clearing the soil. Where's the tenant parking at this project?
