Default [Langford] Waterstone | 5-storeys | U/C

Waterstone is being built at the South East corner of Jacklin Rd. and Sooke Rd. It is on the MLS web site as 'waterfront' although at best one might get water glimpses of Glen Lk..

you can't get blood from a stone and I don't think you can get water from a stone either.

I understand there is to be a water feature on site that uses well-water as its source...I assume the name comes from this.

Cool . I didn't know that a well qualifies as waterfront living. I guess my house just went up in value.

Wow, that's really coming along.

This project was the first highrise proposal in Langford from back in 2004/2005. Because it borders on Colwood the residents from that muni went to Langford council to object to the proposal, although I believe it was eventually approved.

This project can't be, by anyone's definition, a "highrise". It doesn't even come close to being a mid-rise. Personally I'd barely call it a low-rise. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a rather nice development, as suburban sprawl goes, but if the good folks in Colwood considered this to be a highrise, whatever will they make of the Colwood Corners project, should it ever get built as zoned?

It was originally proposed as two 12-storey towers.

I can't believe I forgot to note that in my post. My bad.

That's a nasty firewall. At least it has been treated well.
