Default Choux Choux Charcuterie | Victoria

I was so happy to welcome Luke and Paige when they opened one of the finest traditional European-style delicatessen's to hit the island yet. They make their own pâtés, foie gras terrines, amazing sausages, smoke all their own meats and the cheeses are from another world. Get this, an under water cave aged Emmenthal from France. Some really fantastic cheeses!

As unpretentious as these two are, they wield a plethora of talent in their shop. They take their business seriously which is great to see and they know what is going on in this town.

Daily lunch specials are brilliant, very creative (smoked anchovie potato salad with grainy mustard) or charcuterie plate and reasonably priced. They make fine use of everything Vancouver Island has to offer as well. They also have take-away duck confit that you cook in the oven at home which is very easy.

Featured in several foodie magazines, Choux Choux Charcuterie is definitely worth a visit.

If you are a true foodie, then you will love this place!

You can visit them at 830 Fort Street in between Blanshard and Quadra on the North side.

I had the plat du jour here today and I have to say it was very good. I would highly recommend it. Definitely a bit more expensive then some places for lunch but for the quality you get it is worth it. With a non-alcoholic drink it was 13.50.

I was impressed by the selection of cheese and meats so I will have to give this place another go soon.
