Default Szechuan City?

The Burnside & Harriet location has been closed for quite some time. Closed for renovations or...?
Anyone know?
Can't eat there, but it was a bustling place for the lunch crowd.

(I couldn't locate a thread on this, but I'll post there if there is one)

I went once and was less than impressed. They have a second location at Westside Village that I have never been to.

Yes, and I think there's also one across from Tillicum Mall where the Royal Bank and M&M Meats is.

I can't eat in any of these buffets anyway. I'll be sick for 2 days. lol

Just curious what was up with it being closed.

The chinese buffet where Uncle Willy's was is pretty good but for the most part I agree.

The family started with one location at Tillicum and Burnside and added two more over time, one at Burnside and Harriet and another at Westside Village. Then there was a family divorce or something and the three of them all seperate businesses.

The one in Westside village is now Chinese City Buffet and awful.

The one at Tillicum and Burnside is now Szechuan Palace and does not do buffet on a regular basis. The food is good and I get it for take out.

The Burnside and Harriet is only location still called Szechuan City and it is closed for renovations, though it has been closed for longer than I expected. They are buffet only and they are good, consistently among the top in the city.

Their website could use some updating.

I hope the renovation is done quickly by a wrecking ball. This would be a great location for a residential/commercial mixed-use development with some ground floor retail.

Fine dining at its best:

They're hard at work at this place inside and out...the exterior recently got a full paint job.
